Tool's description:

Facet5 is a 'Big 5' factor personality model, which allows understanding into how people differ in their behaviour, motivation, attitudes and aspirations. Facet5 measures these five factors precisely and quickly to give the most accurate and easily applied portrait of individual difference in behaviour. Facet5 also allows a detailed breakdown of these five factors into 13 sub-factors to explore subtleties of behaviour at an individual level.

Facet5 was designed in response to requests from many organizations for an instrument which combined modern design, construnction and appearance, ease and flexibility of use, reasonable cost and integration with human resource management systems.

Facet5 is a web-based questionnaire, composed by 106 questions. Most people complete Facet5 in around 15-20 minutes.

Case history:

Credit Suisse (UK) – Facet5 as recruitment tool

Credit Suisse required Executive Assessments for short listed applicants across a number of Senior Manager/Director Positions. Facet5 was used, in conjunction with ability tests and an in depth interview, to report upon applicant's suitability under key role competencies.

The Executive Assessments reports and feedback were found to be very valuable to affirm hiring decisions. This information was ultimately used to evidence and authorise the appointments via the Switzerland head office.

The applicants themselves found the experience extremely positive, and those hired requested Facet5 to be used as a development tool within their new teams.

Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (Singapore) – Facet5 as personal and team development tool

Hp wanted roll out Facet5 for two departments. The purpose was mainly for development and management. The directors felt with that a new team of managers, they needed to work well together and the use of Facet5 has help both directors and managers to better understand each other and the team. It was the workforce development and OE department that carried out the feedback and intervention.
